Michael Denton & Anna McCrickard trained as fine artists at Chelsea School of Art and Goldsmiths. As Overlap, they work together in electronic and traditional media, from oil paintings and digital prints to miniature art videotones. Their electronic work has been screened at the ICA, NFT, Tate Britain, in international film festivals, and seen by thousands around the world through a high profile VJing and AV schedule. 2008 found them creating forest installations for Hove and Electric Picnic boutiq arts and music festivals in Norway and Ireland, recutting and performing EA Dupont’s silent 1929 classic “Piccadilly” at the British Film Institute, and VJing in Ibiza, Latvia, Spain, Slovenia and the UK. Overlap’s music has been used on film and commercial soundtracks and their spring EP, “Velven”, hit the top 5 downtempo downloads on ClubVibes and Play It Tonight.com on its release last year. www.overlap.co.uk
