Titling Textiles, the first in our exciting program of exhibitions and events for 2007, reflects the contemporary interest in craft as a significant art form. Many of our contributers are local to Hastings and have national reputations.
The show will feature exquisitely crafted, sculptural knits from Wendy Newell and Linzi Jones, woven garments by Alison Bailey Smith, contemporary embroidery by Nancy Nicholson and felted wall hangings by Sue Johnson as well as vibrant, new, textural paintings from Selina di Girolamo RBA which are inspired by the fabric of her multicultural heritage.
